Operations Supervisor
GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Operations Tech Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of the operational team in a fast-paced production environment.
This role ensures efficient and safe operations while maintaining product quality and meeting production targets.
The incumbent will supervise and lead a team of scales operators, indexers, VFFS baggers, metal detectors, case coding specialists, and labelers.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSITION:
o Provide leadership and guidance to the operational team, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
o Ensure proper PM's are set and followed for all scales, indexers, VFFS, metal detectors, case packers, and case coders.
o Root Cause analytics are essential to ensure issues solve the right problem the first time.
o Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards, production schedules, and efficiency targets.
o Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for team members.
o Implement and enforce quality control measures throughout the production process, including inspection procedures and corrective actions.
Specifically, correct bag/clamshell formations, metal detector and scale accuracy o Coordinate maintenance activities with the maintenance team to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
o Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures, conducting regular safety inspections and promoting a safe work environment.
o Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
o Identify and address operational issues promptly, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
o Foster effective communication within the team and across departments, sharing production updates, goals, and best practices.
o Performance all Preventative Maintenance as scheduled o Lead or support root cause projects as directed by the Maintenance Manager o Other duties as assigned #J-18808-LjbffrSalary:
$52 per hour.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
